ASA Midwest SCAG Truck Tour Opens Up Their Season This Weekend

By Kari Shear-Carlson
May 16, 2012 - The American Speed Association® Midwest Tour presented by SCAG Power Equipment and Lester Buildings teams only have a few days left to get ready for the World Wide Packaging State Park 125 at State Park Speedway in Wausau, WI this Saturday, May 19th.

State Park Speedway is known for its tight, two-groove racing and that is what the fans love about it. Once drivers figure out there are two grooves, they use it to their advantage. Last year’s event at SPS had some of the best side by side racing of the season.

May 8, 2012 - He retired from NASCAR competition in 2005, and for the first time, NASCAR champion driver Rusty Wallace is returning to the driver’s seat at one of his all-time favorite race tracks.

Wallace will join other competitors, including many ECHO and ECHO Bear Cat Touring Stars of the American Speed Association® Midwest Tour presented by SCAG Power Equipment and Lester Buildings,
in a day-long practice session in his own super late model on Wednesday, May 30th at The Milwaukee Mile.

It will be valuable track time, as the 1989 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver recently announced his intention to come out of retirement to race at the historic one-mile oval in the Tuesday night, June 12th Swiss Colony Howie Lettow Memorial 150 presented by raceteamgear.com.

May 3, 2012 - In an effort to add excitement to an already aggressive ECHO and ECHO Bear Cat Touring Star program and a rapidly growing Truck series, officials have announced a new bonus program called "The Big Dog Bonus".

At each American Speed Association® Midwest Tour presented by SCAG Power Equipment and Lester Buildings and ASA Midwest Truck Tour event in 2012, race teams will have the opportunity to win a large amount of money that is provided to a bonus pot by various sponsors of each team. The bonus program is NOT a requirement but is based on those who want to be a part of the program.
